We recently received an inspiring update from Elizabeth, one of our wheelchair beneficiaries from last year. This remarkable young woman is currently pursuing a degree in Community Development at a university in Morogoro. One of our supporters is sponsoring Elizabeth by covering her tuition and acccomodation costs and we are so proud of her success.

Elizabeth shared her enthusiasm about her studies and the exciting opportunities she has encountered, but she also opened up about the significant challenges that individuals with disabilities continue to face in educational settings.

In her message, Elizabeth expressed how much she enjoys university life. However, she pointed out that the infrastructure and support systems for students with disabilities are severely lacking. She stated, “I want to help people with disabilities be able to fulfill their dreams.” Elizabeth's commitment to helping others reflects her desire to make a positive impact in her community.
Last night, Emma gave a talk at her local Scout Group to raise awareness about Just Wheels and the importance of supporting people with physical disabilities in developing nations. To make this evening even more impactful, she managed to connect with Elizabeth live on a call. This allowed Elizabeth to share her personal experience with the Scouts.

Furthermore, Elizabeth shared her aspirations for the future. She aims to be a changemaker in her community by advocating for improved facilities and resources for people with disabilities. Her determination is commendable and shines a light on the ongoing challenges faced by disabled individuals. We are very proud to support Elizabeth as she progresses through University and delighted to have her as an Ambassador for Just Wheels.
