Who we support
We support children and young people with mobility impairments in Tabora, Tanzania, helping them gain independence, access education and participate fully in their communities. These are just a few of the brilliant young people we have supported.
Elizabeth's story
Elizabeth, a 20-year-old from Tabora, embodies resilience and hope. After a spinal operation in 2014 left her paralyzed, she overcame immense challenges to complete her education. With support from her family and a new wheelchair provided by Just Wheels, Elizabeth gained independence and confidence. Now studying Community Development at University in Morogoro, she aspires to become a social worker and advocate for people with disabilities. Her journey reflects courage, determination, and the belief that “disability is not inability.” For Elizabeth, life on wheels is not a limitation but a pathway to empowerment and possibility.
